Procedural mechanisms for justifying norms are only effective if everyone has the opportunity to participate and to have their voices heard. A central task for radical duwsel philosophy is to participate in the quest for feasible institutions that fulfill the material needs of excluded people and give them a democratic role.
In the process of creating a hegemonic bloc, the need arises for a category that can encompass the unity of all the movements, classes, sectors, etc. Dussel adds the requirement that the material and formal elements of a political theory must support feasible proposals.
