If you want to see the worst way in which to behave in relation to writing for an expanded universe you need only look at the works of Karen Traviss. Telcam agrees to the arrangement. If you haven’t been keeping up with the novels, this is not a good starting point, as it picks up and leaves off mid-story, so you would be better off starting with Fall of Reach and going forward from there.

But I can safely say because of GlasslandsI can no longer kill an engineer: This was not caused by the writing style of Karen Traviss, which is actually pretty pacey. The author effectively writes from a third person perspective, and effectively captivates the horrors of war using descriptive language. Dietz after he wrote the The Flood? Osman is the same, because she was trained by Parangosky to hate Halsey, even though Kilo-Five’s entire mission is a deplorable atrocity.

I know I shouldn’t be reading this thread, but soo interesting! Everything the author was trying to do seemed a little too deliberate and it felt like too much time was spent tossing around English puns rather than developing the enthralling plot I expected.
Telcam accuses the human race and Thel ‘Vadam of spreading lies about the Forerunners and the Halosciting that these revelations have created significant religious and political divisions amongst the Sangheili. Marooned with Chief Mendez and a Glasslaands team in hlo Forerunner slipspace bubble hidden in the destroyed planet Onyx, she finds that the shield world has been guarding an ancient secret—a treasure trove of Forerunner technology that will change everything for the UNSC and mankind.
In particular the warriors used in the battle by the Convenant called the Sangheili are definitely a potential future hazard.

Who built the sphere? Somehow, this was an unnecessary evil, because the parents thought their kids had died when the clone deteriorated. Thinking about it now I guess that was, in part, the point of the title “Glasslands,” looking back on the devastating effects of the war. The Covenant government is in shambles with hardline traditionalists balking against the ha,o of the Arbiter.

Sure she can be abrasive, but the scenario just felt like it was written just so Lucy would attack her. That said, I enjoyed how Glasslands was connected to Ghosts of Onyx. If not, I’ll leave you to everyone else.

The story is very nice because it also highlights another previously unexplored side of the galaxy and sheds some light on some of the horrible acts glasslanfs the calculating Doctor Halsey, the engineer of the Spartan Program, glasslandz well as fills in several small plot holes.
The sphere has a hhalo atmosphere, buildings which are all abandoned, and flora and fauna unlike anything seen on Earth. The book would have been much better if the author hadn’t spent the major part of the book just vilifying Dr Halsey, it’s clear that Karen Travis hasn’t done much of any homework on the previous books before setting out to write this one, the characters and their behaviour in general is completely different from the other books glaslands the series.
I respect your review and honestly my opinion of the book has been stated before, so I’ll just tell you how I liked the book Justice League of America: Parangosky states that the purpose of the mission is to create infighting, strife, and discontent within the Sangheili society until the UNSC is ready to execute the killing blow.
