I would read this before doing the math parts of GPS. Professor El-Rabbany has done a good job of keeping math out of his discussion of GPS but this comes at the cost of of a poor explanation of several important facets of GPS.

A well written book introducing the fundamentals of GPS giving a better than “basic book” run down on what introducgion GPS actually work. I couldn’t follow the explanation so the substantial portion of the book that describes techniques dependent on this process remains poorly understood.
